Prerequisites and Curriculum
The CSUF Master’s in Economics program requires students to complete 30 to 33 units of coursework with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Students may choose a thesis exit track or a comprehensive examination exit track.

Admission Requirements
The economics master’s degree requires students to submit the following:
- The GRE exam is not required for admission for applicants with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and at least a 3.0 GPA in Calculus.
- 1 letter of recommendation
- Professional résumé
- Statement of purpose
- Official transcripts
- International students must also take one of the following three tests:
- TOEFL: minimum 550 (paper), 80 (IBIT)
- IELTS: minimum 7
- PTE: minimum 65
- Duolingo: minimum 120
