First-time Advising Session
Newly Admitted Students in your first semester:
Once you have reviewed your digital welcome packet and your individualized study plan included in your College of Business and Economics Google Drive and gone through the "New Student Checklist", then you are required to schedule a personal consultation with the Graduate Advisor within 14 business days of receiving your admission letter. Graduate Advisors are available by appointment only . You can schedule a personal consultation with your advisor in the online appointment calendar found through the "Contact An Advisor" page.
MA Economics students must meet with their advisor Gabriela Best, Ph.D., within 10 business days after receiving your admission letter. You can schedule a personal consultation with her by email gbest@fullerton.edu. Note: You will need to bring your advising worksheet provided to you in your digital welcome packet to the meeting.
The College of Business and Economics Graduate Digital Welcome Packet
For all newly admitted students, the Graduate Programs Office has uploaded your individualized Digital Welcome Packet to Google Drive in your CSU email account. Within the digital welcome packet you will find your individualized advising worksheet , recommendation for enrollment, and important information to allow for a smooth transition into graduate school. We are providing you with an instructional power point to assist you with accessing your digital welcome packet.
Academic Advising Online Appointment Calendar
You advising support team is available Monday thru Thursday by appointment only. Advising is not available on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The appointment calendar is online. You will need to log into your CSU student portal to acces the calendar.
When scheduling an appointment keep in mind that two weeks prior, the week of, the week after registration, and the first week of school are the busiest time for the Advising Center and the entire campus. To allow the advising center to accommodate most requests it is recommended that appointments considered an emergency only be scheduled during these time periods.
College of Business and Economics Career Services (SGMH-1409)
Career Advising is handled through the College of Business and Economics Career Services and you can schedule an appointment online.
International Students
Questions regarding immigration documents, including 1-20, visas or SEVIS, should be directed to the Office of Extension and International Programs (EIP). EIP is responsible for responding to questions and issuing any documents that are related to obtaining your student visa.
